Do NFC Google review cards actually get you more reviews?
Yes, as long as you still ask. The card doesn't replace asking; it removes the steps between a customer saying "sure, I'll leave a review" and actually doing it. Without it they have to remember later, find your business on Google Maps, find the review button and start typing. Most never get that far.
Business owners comparing notes on Reddit and Quora tend to land in the same place: the card removes friction, it doesn't do the asking for you. Staff who hand it over with one line, "would you mind leaving us a Google review?", collect far more reviews than a card left alone on a shelf.
More recent reviews help twice. They reassure people comparing you on Google Maps, and Google says reviews from customers can improve a business's visibility in local results.
Is an NFC review card allowed under Google's review policy?
Yes. Google allows businesses to ask customers for reviews, and an NFC card is only a faster way to open the same review link. What Google's policy forbids is how you ask: offering a discount, gift or payment in exchange for a review; asking only the customers you expect to be happy; discouraging negative reviews; or pressuring people to review while they are still on your premises.
So offer the card to every customer, let them review when it suits them, and never attach a reward. Used that way, the card is well within Google's rules.
NFC review card or review stand: which should you get?
Get cards if your staff move around (waiters, therapists, drivers, service advisers) or you want one on every table. Get a stand if every customer passes the same counter. Many businesses use both: a stand at the till, and cards everywhere else.

Where to put your review cards
In the bill folder or on the tray with the receipt, so the ask arrives when the customer already has their phone out to pay.
One per member of staff, handed over with a single sentence at the end of the service. A personal ask beats a sign.
On every table or chair, not only at the till. And if a tap doesn't register, since a thick or metal phone case can block NFC, point the customer to the QR code.

Yes. The iPhone XS, XR and every newer iPhone read the card with no app: the customer holds the top of the phone near the card. Older iPhones, and any phone without NFC, can scan the QR code on the card with the camera instead.
Yes. Most Android phones have NFC and read the card as long as NFC is switched on, which it usually is by default. The customer holds the back of the phone near the card. If nothing happens, NFC may be off, and the QR code works instead.
No. The review form opens in the phone's browser, or in Google Maps if it is installed. As with any Google review, the customer needs to be signed in to a Google account to post it.
You don't have to. Send us your Google Maps listing or your review link when you order on WhatsApp, and we program the NFC chip and print the matching QR code before the cards reach you. Your business only needs to be listed on Google Maps.
No. The chip has no battery: the customer's phone powers it for the moment of the tap. There is nothing to charge or switch on, and the card keeps working as long as it isn't cracked or bent.
No. Google lets businesses ask customers for reviews, and the card is only a faster way to open your review link. Google's policy does prohibit offering rewards for reviews, asking only the customers you expect to be happy, discouraging negative reviews and pressuring people to review while on your premises. So offer the card to every customer, with no reward attached.
A QR code asks the customer to open the camera, frame the code and tap the link that appears. An NFC tap is one motion. Koroot's cards carry both, so every customer has a way in whatever phone they use.
Usually, yes. NFC reads through most phone cases. Very thick cases, metal cases and cases with a magnetic wallet can block it; the QR code still works.
