What can you use an NFC card for?
Anything that opens with a link. The most popular are:
WhatsApp cards, which open a chat with your business number, with a message already typed if you like: "I'd like to book a table" or "Please send me your price list".
Instagram cards, which open your profile so a customer can follow you in one tap instead of searching for your handle.

The card holds a tiny chip with no battery. When a phone comes within a few centimetres, it powers the chip for a moment, reads the link stored on it and opens it: the same short-range technology as contactless payment.
The iPhone XS, XR and every newer iPhone read NFC cards without an app, as do most Android phones with NFC switched on. Because the phone has to be held right up to the card, nobody can read it from across the room.
NFC card or QR code: which is better?
Both open a link, but an NFC tap is one motion while a QR code takes three: open the camera, frame the code, tap the link. QR codes, on the other hand, work on any phone with a camera. The best answer is both on the same card, which is why Koroot can print a QR code on each card as a backup.
